Gauteng Climbing is proud to announce that all our clubs are officially registered within our province.

This means that;

• We prioritize community and networking: Club registration promotes local and collective ownership of the sport, encourages organized sports at the community level, and provides opportunities for affiliation with other sports clubs through a provincial network.

  We foster leadership and development: Being part of a federation enhances cooperation, teamwork, and leadership skills among club members.

• We ensure permanency and stability: Registered clubs offers greater stability for the sport, even with potential shifts in individual club membership over time.

• We advocate for safeguarding in sport: This is crucial to guarantee the safety and well-being of all participants, particularly our children and vulnerable adults.

• We offer peace of mind:

  • Completion of Basic Level 1 First Aid by all club owners and/ or coaches.

  • Accreditation in Level 4 DSO for all club owners and/or head coaches.

  • Accreditation in Basic Safeguarding DSO Level 1 for all coaches.

  • Possession of a valid police clearance certificate by all coaches.

  • Possession of a valid sexual offender’s certificate by all coaches.

  • A signed GC coach’s code of conduct by all coaches.
