Twenty-one Gauteng climbing athletes will embark on a bus journey to KZN on Friday, February 14, 2025, to participate in a team training workshop at the KZN Climbing Provincials event. This event will also act as a competition readiness session for the upcoming SANCF Selections Event scheduled for early March.

Accompanying the team will be GC Secretary Bridgette Erdey, President Carmen Bouwer, and invited setter Tiaan Bouwer.

The team will depart from the Midrand station via Greyhound bus at 9 AM on Friday and is expected to arrive shortly after 5 PM. KZN Climbing has arranged for the group to stay at the Scouts Hall in Kloof from Friday, March 14, to Sunday, March 16.

The qualification bouldering round will take place at the Southern Rock Climbing Centre, while the finals will take place at Kloof High School on their newly installed walls and boulder mats.

Lead climbing is scheduled for Sunday at Kloof High School, followed by a visit to the beach for some fun in KZN.

The team will return to Pretoria on Monday morning, March 17.
